Richard E House Titusville, Florida Obituary

Richard E House

Richard E. House, 97, beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and American patriot, passed away peacefully at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, Florida on June 29, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Meadville, PA to Clifford & Jessie House, Richard was a WWII veteran and a member of the United States Air Force. He was a pilot and flight instructor who continued his love for flying well into his 90’s locally at Arthur Dunn Airport. After his time in the service, he worked a long career as a machinist for Eastman Kodak in New York and later retired in South Florida. Anyone who met Richard (or Dick, as he was often called) knew a funny, smart, quick witted guy who always had a great story to tell and kept you laughing. He will be truly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Richard is survived by his son, Jeffery House, stepsons Neil Colman, Jack Colman, and Gene Colman and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife, Helen, second wife Henrietta, three brothers, John, Clifford and Robert, daughter Linda and son Stephen.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Honor Flight Network at honorflight.org. This non-profit organization honors American veterans for their sacrifices and provides transportation for our heroes to Washington D.C. to visit and reflect at the memorials. Richard thoroughly enjoyed his trip with them to Washington D.C. in 2014.
