Elsie Platt, 94, of Coolidge passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Valley Friendship Village in Tempe on the evening of June 26th, 2020.
Elsie was born to Merle and Frances Bowlin in Aurora, Nebraska on September 25th, 1925. She graduated from Aurora High School in 1943 and moved to Arizona in 1970 with her husband, Ed Coblentz who passed away in 1981 and daughter, Linda Kay Shultz from her first marriage to Carl Matthew Shultz. On January 6th, 1990, Elsie was married to the love of her life, William E. Platt, Jr. Together they continued a life of adventure and travel for 27 years before Bill passed away in 2017.
Elsie worked for 12 years as a secretary for the Farmers State Bank while in Nebraska and finished her working career in the Pinal County Clerks office. She was a life long member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mother Advisor of the Rainbow Girls and a member of the Monday Nighters of Coolidge. Elsie especially loved her role as a Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her extended Platt family and all who’s lives she touched.
Surviving Elsie is her daughter, Linda Kay Shultz. Preceding her in death was her brother, Delmer M. Bowlin.
