The outpouring of love for Melanie has had one consistency; she is and always will be the brightest light. Melanie was born on May 17, 1985 and was taken from us all so suddenly 6/25/2020. We would like to tell everyone how beautiful a child Melanie was, but know that it would embarrass her… Her blue eyes are incredibly unique and everyone asks if they are real. It’s a perfect analogy for who Mel is, a being so completely perfect, one has to ask whether or not she is real. Melanie has forever two pieces of her heart, her daughter Phoenix Danish and fiancé Jacob O’Brien. Melanie was shaped by and has eternally: her mother Ellen Randolph, her father James Alexander (Nicki Leet), her sisters Shannon Alexander and Amanda Rowlands (Kellin Rowlands), her beloved nieces and nephews Ganjah Boyce, Sonai Cummings, Maddeson and Lola Rowlands, her Uncle Ang, as well as the rest of her family Kristen Nichols, Tegan Mayer and Cassandra Jonas. Melanie’s is defined and is a symbol of thoughtfulness, empathy, and kindness to all those who have been lucky enough to have spent time with her. She moved her wedding date to 10/3/2020 to provide happiness for others. She effortlessly documented everyone's moments of happiness behind her camera lens, leaving behind a treasure trove of memories of every single person she touched. We wish we could include all of the many people who felt Melanie’s love and light over the years and are so incredibly thankful for all those who love her - you know who you are. Services for Mel will be held at McLaughlin and Mason funeral home in Troy, NY on Tuesday, 6/30/2020 from 3-6pm.
