Hunter L. Spillan, age 90 of Dagsboro, DE, formerly of Annandale, VA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. Mr. Spillan was born in Lexington, VA on October 9, 1926, son of the late Thomas and Frances (Wilhelm) Spillan. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He worked on Capitol Hill with the Committee on Appropriations of the U.S. House of Representatives and as Staff Director of the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee. He retired from public service in 1994 when he moved to Delaware. He enjoyed watching sports and western movies. He is survived by his wife, Constance (Connie) Marsh Spillan; son Kevin and wife Janice; grandson Pete; brothers Fred and Robert; and sister Wendy. There will be no service.
