Dale Stephen Spencer

Spencer, Dale Stephen – 78 of Windsor, formerly of Summerville passed away peacefully at The Windsor Elms Village, Windsor on Thursday, June 24th, 2020. Born December 28th, 1941 in Brooklyn, Hants co. he was the son of the late Rev. George and Annie (Macumber) Spencer. Dale was employed with the Annapolis Valley Reginal School Board for over 20 years as a bus driver and custodian. He was an honorary member of the Summerville Volunteer Fire Dept. Dale especially enjoyed playing guitar and singing gospel & country music along side his friends at several different churches. He is survived by brothers Ron (Phyllis), Royce (Juliette) both of Summerville along with many nieces and nephews. Dale is predeceased by sisters Alice in infancy, Marion Hayes, Winnifred Marshall, brothers Fred and Lawrence. Cremation has taken place. An open graveside committal service for the late Dale Spencer will be held Saturday, July 4, 2020 at 11am in the Loyal Hill Cemetery, Summerville. Due to the regulations concerning Covid-19, social distancing outside your bubble will apply.Donation in memory of Dale can be made to the Loyal Hill Cemetery or the Summerville Volunteer Fire Dept. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Victoria Park Guest House and the Windsor Elms Village for their care and compassion during Dale’s residency.
