Brian Lloyd White

Brian L. White 1967-2015 Mr. Brian White was born on April 22, 1967 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. In 1985, he graduated from Star Spencer High School in Oklahoma City and joined the Air Force on April 6, 1987. During his 20-year career in the Air Force, Mr. White served in a wide variety of security and legal positions at Air Force bases throughout the world. In conjunction with serving in the Air Force, Mr. White also worked as a patrolman with the Spencer Police Department in Oklahoma and earned his Associates of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force in Montgomery, Alabama. After retiring from the Air Force in 2007, Mr. White served as an associate investigator for US Investigations Services in Boyers, Pennsylvania, and in 2008, joined the Fort Leonard Wood team as a security guard. Shortly after arriving at Fort Leonard Wood, Mr. White became a member of the Engineer Brigade as a legal technician with the 577th Engineer Battalion and later the 554th Engineer Battalion. In 2010, Mr. White was hired as the 554th's supervisory human resource assistant. In 2014, Mr. White joined the Fort Leonard Wood Public Affairs Office as a public affairs assistant. Mr. White was recognized for his outstanding service and contributions to Fort Leonard Wood on numerous occasions. His recognitions include Engineer Brigade Civilian of the Quarter, the Steel de Fleury, the Engineer Regiment's 2012 Outstanding Civilian of the Year and several appreciations of excellence awards and coins. His military service awards include: the Air Force Commendation Medal. (w/4 OLC); Air Force Achievement Medal (w/2 OLC); Air Force Out-standing Unit Award with Valor Device with 5 valor devices; Air Force Good Conduct Medal (w/5 OLC); National Defense Service Medal with 1 service star; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; the Southwest Asia Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Medal; Humanitarian Service Medal; Air Force Overseas Ribbon Short; Air Force Overseas Ribbon Long; Air Force Longevity Service (w/3 OLC); USAF NCO PME Graduate Ribbon (w/1 OLC); Small Arms Expert; and Marksmanship Ribbon (rifle). As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was also a huge fan of NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson and the University of Oklahoma Sooners.
