Charles E. Threlkeld, 78, of Norfolk, VA, passed away November 26, 2009, in his home. A native of Carrsville, Kentucky, he retired from the United States Navy as a First Class Petty Officer having served in Korea and Vietnam. He also retired from the Supply Department at Sovran Bank. He was a member of the V.F.W. He is survived by his wife, Janice Threlkeld; two daughters, Elaine and Charlene; three sons, Dennis, Mike and John; eleven grandchildren, Patricia, Amy, Miriah, Shawn, Crystal, Jeffrey, Kenneth, Michael, Brian, Kathleen and Kyle; and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rhonda; and his grandson, Jacob. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
