Steven David Conrad, age 64, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Mercy Hospital, following an illness. Steven was born on November 2, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, the son of David Allan and Ruth Adele (Reinbold) Conrad. He has been an area resident since 1994. He worked as a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and RV-ing. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his life partner, Sharon Haight, Loma Linda, MO; two daughters, Jerrica Conrad, Lake of the Ozarks, MO, and Stephanie Sentell and husband Jason, Singapore; step-daughter, Amy Wills, Joplin; and step-son, Eric Falkensten, Joplin; his father, David Allan Conrad, Horseshoe Bay, TX; brother, Kevin James Conrad, Horseshoe Bay, TX; sister, Sue Hassett and husband Richard, Yakima, WA; step-brother, Roger Beckerman and wife Jacki, Grapevine, TX; step-sister, Carolyn Watson and husband Jim, Plano, TX; sister-in-law, Vicki Conrad, St. Louis, MO; and five grandchildren with one grandchild on the way. Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Conrad; and his step-mother, Janice Conrad. To honor Steven’s wishes he will be cremated with no formal services planned. A Celebration of Steven’s Life will be held July 11, 2020 at the Joplin Elk's Lodge from 5-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Joplin office for the American Cancer Society in his name. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
