Frank E. "Red" Lindsay Obituary

Frank E. "Red" Lindsay, 85, went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2015. Born in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late Allen and Nellie Lindsay. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Dormundt. Red was a retired Chief Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force and served his country proudly as a Vietnam Veteran. After retiring he represented Shell Oil Company and Ryko Car Washes for many years. He was a member of Masonic Lodges in Myrtle Beach, SC and Ocean View, Norfolk, VA. Red was an Elder of East Ocean View and Calvin Presbyterian Churches, Norfolk, and President of Camellia Gardens Civic League. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Anne Lindsay; and his daughters, Trudy Richardson and husband, Porter and Joni Girardin and husband, Alvin; grandson, Patrick Lindsay Richardson and wife, Heather; great granddaughter, Peighton Lindsay Richardson; and a niece, Debbie Hastings and husband, David and their daughter, Caitlyn. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
