Smith, 95, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Prosperity Pointe Assisted Living in Knoxville, TN.&nbsp; She resided in Knoxville for the past 11 years living with her daughter Jeanne and son-in-law Rick Driscoll.&nbsp; She lived most of her life in Youngsville and Sugar Grove, PA.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">She was born on February 1, 1925, to Samuel John Armstrong and Edith Christine Bennett. She married Harold (Bunk) Elwood Smith on August 9, 1947.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">She was known for her &quot;chocolate chip cookies&quot; and &quot;Scottish reel cookies&quot; by nieces, nephews and grandchildren.&nbsp; She enjoyed her family, reading and doing ceramics at Linda Marino&#39;s Ceramic Shop in Lander, PA.&nbsp; She loved going shopping and out to eat (especially ice cream) with her daughter Jeanne.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Mary was a member of the Youngsville Chapter - Order of the Eastern Star and attended the Youngsville Evangelical United Methodist Church.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne (Rick) Driscoll of Knoxville, TN; her grandchildren, Chad (Mindy) Driscoll of Warren, PA and Eric (Amanda) Driscoll of Pittsburg, PA.&nbsp; She has 4 great grandchildren, Riley, Alaina, Akoshea and Christin.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son &quot;Robert Allen Smith&quot; on December 18, 1959 and her brother &quot;Samuel J. Armstrong II&quot; on June 5, 1974.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Knoxville First UMC (Riverside Pavilion), 3316 Kingston Pike, TN&nbsp; 37919 and on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 1:00pm at McKinney Funeral Home, 54 West Main Street, Youngsville, PA&nbsp; 16371.&nbsp; The family will visit the gravesites of her husband and son at the Youngsville Cemetery and mother, father and brother at the Starbrick Cemetery</span></span><br /> &nbsp;</p>

Mary L. Smith, 95, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Prosperity Pointe Assisted Living in Knoxville, TN.  She resided in Knoxville for the past 11 years living with her daughter Jeanne and son-in-law Rick Driscoll.  She lived most of her life in Youngsville and Sugar Grove, PA.

She was born on February 1, 1925, to Samuel John Armstrong and Edith Christine Bennett. She married Harold (Bunk) Elwood Smith on August 9, 1947.

She was known for her "chocolate chip cookies" and "Scottish reel cookies" by nieces, nephews and grandchildren.  She enjoyed her family, reading and doing ceramics at Linda Marino's Ceramic Shop in Lander, PA.  She loved going shopping and out to eat (especially ice cream) with her daughter Jeanne.

Mary was a member of the Youngsville Chapter - Order of the Eastern Star and attended the Youngsville Evangelical United Methodist Church.
