<p>Dolores M. Alward, 80, of Shipman, passed away at 10:21 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She was born December 26, 1938, in Hilyard Township, the daughter of Austin and Eleanor (Halliday) Jaynes.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>On August 9, 1959, she married Leslie Alward in Shipman. He preceded her in death in 2006.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Dody was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shipman and their ladies aid.&nbsp; She treasured her family, enjoying spending as much time as she could with them.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Survivors include three Daughters Rebecca (Charles) Johnson of Serena, IL, Mickie (Tim) Kroeschel of Medora, IL, and Kendra (Dennis) Westfall of Danville, IL; seven grandchildren Cole (Megan) Johnson, Chase Johnson, Caity Johnson, Chelsea (Zach) Meyer, Lucy (Josh) Constable, Bailey Westfall, and Ben Westfall; four great grandchildren Mia Johnson, Dylan Meyer, Katelyn Meyer, and Addison Meyer; two sisters Mary Reno and Ethel Shelton; several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie, parents, Austin and Eleanor, and brothers in law John Reno and Bill Shelton.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Visitation for Dody will be held Monday, September 9, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Shipman.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Shipman with Pastor John Lottes Officiating.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Burial will follow in Shipman Cemetery.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Shipman or Shipman Fire Department.</p>

Dolores M. Alward, 80, of Shipman, passed away at 10:21 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

 

She was born December 26, 1938, in Hilyard Township, the daughter of Austin and Eleanor (Halliday) Jaynes.

 

On August 9, 1959, she married Leslie Alward in Shipman. He preceded her in death in 2006.

 

Dody was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shipman and their ladies aid.  She treasured her family, enjoying spending as much time as she could with them.
