Armando P. Sencio, 64, passed away on January 14, 2017, in his home. Born in Cebu City, Philippines, he was the son of the late Alfredo and Evelina Sencio.
He was a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer from the U. S. Navy after 21 years of service.
Left to cherish his memory: his wife of 37 years, Rosita C. Sencio; nine children, Aubrey (Holly), Gerald (Lauren), Angelo, Mike Aldren, Marvin, Regine, Eloyzza, Everlyn, and Andrew Sencio; three sisters, Cristina Sencio Guardiario of West Palm Beach, FL, Sonia Sencio Sy of Toledo City, Philippines, and Maria Sencio Lanete of Cebu City, Philippines; four brothers, Reynaldo Sencio of Bakersfield, CA, Adonis P. Sencio of West Palm Beach, FL, Alfredo P. Sencio, Jr., of Cebu City, Philippines, and Graciano P. Sencio of Manila, Philippines; and a grandson, Leon Reynaldo Sencio.
The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Church of the Ascension, Virginia Beach.
