Melissa Ann Chaney, 45, of Connersville, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 at her home. She had been battling health problems. She was born December 31, 1974 in Connersville, eldest of three children of Leslie and Connie (Pollitt) Moffett. She was a 1993 graduate of Union County High School, and had lived in both Liberty and Connersville. On July 9, 2012, she was married to Michael Chaney. Mr. Chaney survives. Melissa loved to read and listen to music and was a big fan of the Beatles. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family. Survivors, besides her husband, include her mother, Connie Moffett of Connersville; her father and step mother, Leslie and Debbie Moffett of Liberty; a son, Michael Marcum and wife Taylor of Red Deer Canada; a step son, Justice Chaney of Centerville, Indiana; two sisters, Jenny (Michael Ray) Canty of Connersville and Christy (Corey) Pugh of Shelbyville; two nieces, Leanne and Elizabeth; three nephews, Austin, Elijah, and Isaiah; two great nieces, Jasmine and Summer; and her mother-in-law, Valeria Bauer of Connersville. She is also blessed with a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted by Angie Isaacs at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home.
