Mr. Leroy Morgan Sr. was born on October 25, 1953, in Beaufort, South Carolina, to the late Willie and Julia Green-Morgan.  
Leroy was educated in the public schools of Beaufort County.  Being a public servant, he performed various jobs throughout the community primarily working on highways and road repairs. He retired from the Department of Transportation.  
He became a member of Huspah Baptist Church at an early age.  While attending Huspah he dutifully served on the BJ Choir and Vice Chairman of the deacon board.  He was an inspiration to his fellow choir members while serving with the Brick Baptist Church Male Chorus. One of his favorite songs to sing with the choir was “One More Blessing You Send My Way.”
Leroy was well-loved by everyone and known by many nicknames. Just to name a few; Speedy, Shorty, Pocket, Eiky, and by his loving niece Nina, Uncle Lee Lee.
On June 27, 1992, Leroy was joined in Holy Matrimony to Cathy E. Gardner. This union was blessed with 27 years of marriage. 
On Sunday, June 21, 2020, at his residence. Leroy was called home by the Lord in his infinite wisdom.  He joined his late parents; his sisters: Inez and Mary Morgan;  his brothers: Johnnie Morgan and his older brother: Willie Morgan, Jr. who also passed away on June 21, 2020.
He is survived by his wife Cathy of Ridgeland, SC; three sons: Kevin Green of Big Estate, SC, Leroy Morgan, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO and David Morgan of Ridgeland, SC; one daughter: Adrienne (Preston) Nickerson of Columbia, SC; one adopted daughter: Genese Solomon of Ridgeland, SC; six sisters: Katie (Howard) Spanish of New York, NY, Sandra (Micheal) Ashley of Virginia, Lucille Morgan, Susie Morgan both of Jenkins, SC, Mary Bacon of Savannah, GA and Emma Williams of Bronx, NY; two brothers: James Alston of Charleston, SC and Sylvester (Rosalyn) Morgan of Columbus, GA; mother in law: Rose Gardner of Columbia, SC; three brothers in law: Anthony (Dantha) Gardner of Fort Mitchell, AL, Pastor Harold (Shannon) Gardner, Jr. of Hopkinsville, KY and Minister Keith (Candace) Gardner of Falls Church, VA; four sisters in law: Janie Morgan of Mount Vernon, NY, Lolita (Richard) Hayes, Michelle Gardner-Graham and Remona Polite both of Ridgeland, SC; devoted nieces: Brenda (Albie) Douglas of Manhattan, NY, Priscilla (Rodney) Mack of Moncks Corner, SC, Alicia Polite, Nina Gardner both of Ridgeland, SC and Sabrina Pateat of NY;  five grandchildren; four adopted grandchildren; a special uncle and friend: Wilbur “Sam” Gardner; one special grandniece: Morgan Mack; to include a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Leroy Morgan, Sr., 66, of Ridgeland SC, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020, at his residence. He was the husband of Cathy G. Mogan. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Allen Funeral Home Complex in Ridgeland, SC.
