John Raul Juarez II Obituary

John R. Juarez II, known to many as “John John” and “Johnny” was born in San Antonio, TX on June 21, 1965 and was called home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2020 at the age of 54. He is survived by his immediate family: His father, John R. Juarez (stepmom Blanche) and his mother, Helen Diaz, his beloved son, Jonathon R. Juarez III and daughter, Jocelyn R. Juarez (Velma Mayorga), his precious new grandson, Jeremiah Rey Hernandez (Jocelyn’s), his sisters, Diane Gennero, Veronica Morales, Daphne Morales and Darlene Zapata, his aunt Virginia Diaz- Aguilar and Triny Alvarado, his cousin Elaine Klein, Vincent Hernandez, Isaac Cubillos, other cousins, many nephews and nieces (Rico, Chris, Diamond, Jewels, Jade, Stone, Phillip and Amanda), great nephews/nieces and the Mayorga family whom all loved him very much. As a young man, John enjoyed playing baseball, pool, boating at the lake, BBQing and beach trips. He attended St. Mary’s University where he belonged to the Rho Beta Gamma Fraternity and grew fond of his Frat brothers. In 1987, he proudly graduated with a BBA in Marketing. John was very sociable and had many friends throughout the years. During his working years, John was an excellent medical equipment professional salesman. He had a very curious personality to learn about different subject matters, very articulate and compassionate and empathetic to those medically challenged. Since his young adult years, John had been an avid sports fan and loved his Spurs and Cowboys and spent many happy moments with his dad, friends and family watching games. He was also a gun enthusiast and enjoyed going to the range. John loved spending time with family and friends and looked forward to their get togethers. He enjoyed his FaceTime talks with his mother and got a big kick out of only being able to see her nose at times. He looked forward and enjoyed his weekly outings with his dad and Blanche. John was immensely proud of his children Jonathon and Jocelyn and was really looking forward to meeting his new grandson Jeremiah and daughter, Katlyn. This is a great loss to the family and John will be greatly missed as a son, father, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, and friend. We will remember his awesome smile, exquisiteness, and boldness. Through our faith, we have comfort knowing he is not suffering from illness and is in the care of the Lord where we will see him again when the Lord calls us home. A small private viewing was held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels for the family. John will be laid to rest Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery located at 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX. All are welcome to meet promptly at 3:00pm at the cemetery gravesite (left back side) and support the family during a loving send off. If you wish, in lieu of flowers you may donate to a charity of choice in John’s name. The family wants to thank all of those that crossed John’s path in life and offered their kindness and love to him. We are grateful for you. We would also like to thank the Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels family for taking great care of our loved one.
