Erwin Eugene Tillman Obituary

Edwin Eugene Tillman, Jr. 77, of Leroy, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born in Mobile on December 24, 1942 to Erwin E. Tillman, Sr. and Etta Elase Hudson Tillman. He was a member of Jackson First Assembly of God. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a member of the West Mobile Masonic Lodge, Iron Workers Local Union 798 in Mobile and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 42 in Grove Hill. He coached Little League baseball and was a charter member of the Flounder Pounder Society of Dauphin Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kimberly Ann Thompson and sisters, Annette Bolen and Darlene Saxon.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ann Tillman; sons, Robbie (Charie) Tillman, Bobby (April) Tillman; son-in-law, Gary Thompson, Sr; grandchildren, Gary (Andrea) Thompson, Jr., Aaron (Shelby) Tillman, Wesley Thompson, Daniel (Emmie) Tillman, Andrew Tillman, Trevor Tillman, Caleb Tillman; great-grandchild, Braydon Thompson and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. E.C. Russell officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Tillman, Bobby Tillman, Gary Thompson, Sr., Gary Thompson, Jr., Aaron Tillman, Wesley Tillman, Daniel Tillman, Andrew Tillman and Trevor Tillman.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Ronald McDonald House.
