Mildred Brandt Pate, longtime resident of Mena, Arkansas, completed her life journey on June 11, 2020 in Pensacola, Florida. Mildred was born 89 years ago in Moline, Illinois to the late John Brandt and Edith Hayes. After many different residences as an Army wife, she settled in Mena with her husband, the late LTC John Pate, in 1974. With her vibrant personality and always positive attitude, she was beloved by her family and the many friends she made over the years. She was a dedicated member of First Presbyterian Church of Mena for many years. In addition to her parents, Mildred was pre-deceased by a son, Lon Pate, daughter, Krista Heath, and grandchild, Rachel Heath. She is survived by sons John Pate (Rita) of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Mark Pate of Ruston, Louisiana, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite animal humane society.
