Ms. Doris Lee Chester Brantley of Tampa passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020.  A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Friday, June 12 at 12:00 noon at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Curtis Crider, Eulogist with Pastor Yvette Parham, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Please follow the CDC guidelines.

Ms. Doris Lee Chester Brantley was a native of Thomasville, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for over 70 years.  She was born to E. C. and Clareatha Chester and was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County.  She furthered her education by attending Hillsborough Community College.  Ms. Brantley was employed as a Kindergarten Assistant and Substitute Teacher with the School District of Hillsborough County. 

She was preceded in death by: her parents, E. C. Chester and Clareatha Williams Chester; husband, Francis Furman Brantley, Sr.; son, Francis Furman Brantley Jr.; brother, Raymond Scott; and sister, Janie Mae Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memory: devoted and loving son, Shannon Brantley; granddaughters, Jaidah Lehlbach and Jordyn Lehlbach Brantley and their mother, Angela Lehlbach; two brothers-in-law, George Brantley (Diane) and Alvin Brantley (Denise), both of Miami, FL; sister-in-law, Delores Davis of Tampa, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; Goddaughter, Donna Russell; adopted family, Scott (Susan) Lehlbach, Ronald Griffin and family and many caring and special friends. 

The remains will repose from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11 at Mount Calvary Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4902 N. 40th Street, Tampa, FL 33610. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.
