Scott Charles Berger Obituary

Scott Charles Berger passed away on June 6, 2020 in Evanston, WY, at the age of 45.  Scott was born in Jackson, WY, on September 4, 1974 to J. Craig and Connie Berger. His family, including brothers, Ryan and Jamey, and sister, Kimberlee, moved to Evanston in 1982 where he later graduated from Evanston High School in 1993. Scott attended college at WWCC where he walked onto the wrestling team. He later pursued a career in heavy equipment operation and worked many years in the oil field.

The light of his life was his son, Gage. He loved spending time with Gage in the outdoors:  hunting, fishing, and arrowhead hunting. Scott also shared his passion for the Wyoming and Dallas Cowboys with Gage, always making sure Gage had the proper attire to support his teams. He was very proud of his son and grinned from ear to ear just talking about him.

Scott was known to many of his friends as, "Boogs."  With his contagious smile and laugh, he was the life of every party. Scott treasured his friendships and remained close to many of his friends throughout his life.

Scott had his son, Gage with his first wife, Lynzee Webb. He later married Brook Berger and enjoyed a life with her and her son, Dylan, in Rock Springs, WY.

He will be sadly missed by his many family and friends, including his nieces and nephews who  will remember him as their Uncle Scott, who loved to tease and joke with them.

Scott was preceded in death by his wife Brook, grandparents, Charles and Lajuana Rhea and Bud and Mary Berger, his uncles, Clint Rhea and Raymond and Richard Berger, as well as his cousin, Kevin Parry.

One of Scott's passions throughout high school was working with those with special needs. He worked many years for Mountain Regional Services of Evanston and enjoyed building relationships with patients. He also volunteered his time to Special Olympics during his junior and senior year of high school. Please consider making a donation to the Evanston Special Olympics team in honor of his memory.

A celebration of life will be held with family and friends at Flaming Gorge in July. Please reach out to the family if you'd like more details of the celebration.
