Wanda Leigh Coffey, age 81 years, 2 months, and 7 days, of Strunk Kentucky passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 in Lexington, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King and Bro. Stewart Jones officiating Burial was in the Sherd-Dobbs Cemetery in the Bell Farm Community of McCreary County. She was born March 31, 1939 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Ed Roberts and Osha Jones Roberts. Wanda was a member of the Cherokee Baptist Church and attended Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. She was a proud homemaker who loved taking care of her family and home, which she could often be found remodeling at a moment’s notice. Wanda also enjoyed quilting and puzzles and had a particular love of shopping. But the thing that made her happiest was spending time with her family, who she adored and spoiled. Preceding her in death were her parents, her stepmother, Cora Roberts, her husband, Daniel Coffey, sons, Nelson Anthony Coffey and Ricky Joe Coffey, a brother, Dean Roberts, sisters, Faye Tucker and her husband, Charlie, and Wilma Dobbs, brothers-in-law, Lloyd William Coffey, Dallas Coffey, and Ernest Koger, sisters-in-law, Wanda Burke, Lois Koger, Elsie Gregory, Janice Coffey, and Doris Coffey, a niece, Melissa Coffey, and nephews, Gary Dean Tucker, Jackie Wayne Tucker, Austin Durker, Eric Burke, and Joshua Roberts. Survivors include sons, Daniel Coffey, Jr., Steve Coffey and his wife, Rose Mary, and Kevin Coffey, a daughter, Deborah Ross and her husband, Lonnie, all of Strunk, a brother, Eddie Roberts and his wife, Sharon, sisters, Sue Hatfield and her husband, Gordon, and Phyllis Williams, brothers-in-law, Kenneth Coffey and his wife, Mable, Kelly Coffey and his wife, Janet, Bobby Coffey, Wendell Koger, Willis Burke, and Dester Gregory, grandchildren, Lonzo Brian Ross, Brad Daniel Ross and his wife, Emily, Stephanie Michelle Worley and her husband, Ryan, Leigha Marie Sumner and her husband, Dennis, Tyler Dewayne Coffey and his wife, Tiffany, and Kristi Lee Baird and her husband, Chris, and great grandchildren, Meghan, Vince, Mason, Lillie, Hunter, Kinzlee, Lukas, Colton, Greyson, Raelee, Harper, and Emerson.
