Carlos A Lopez Obituary

One or the other must leave, one or the other must stay, one or the other must grieve, that is forever the way. That is the vow that I swore, faithful until death do us part. Carlos Lopez passed June 7, 2020, peacefully at home with his closest family by his side. Carlos was a kind and gentle man and will be missed by many. He will forever be known for his kindness to children by making sure they knew how to give a horse a treat out of their hand. He was a longtime saddle maker known for his extremely delicate work with leather. Many will remember Carlos from his work at Gillman Paper Company later known as Durango. He leaves behind his wife Tonya Lopez, sisters Virginia Meyers, Teresa Clark, Carmen Fasig, Laura Lopez, brothers David Lopez, and Robert Lopez, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded by parents Mercedes and Filberto Lopez, sisters Rebeca Lopez, Eleanor Zaragoza, and brother Filiberto Renaldo Lopez. Special thanks to brother-in-law and friend Darrell Taylor II for many years of care and nephew David Lopez and friend JoEllen Finerfrock for always checking and caring about him.
