Darlyne C. Fuller Obituary

Darlyne was born in Fairplay, Colorado, to George and Ludmelia Magura. She was raised in Leadville, Colorado by her Aunt and Uncle, Ernestine and Glenn Cosseboom. After graduating in 1954 as Salutatorian from Leadville High School, she attended the University of Denver. In 1958 she graduated from DU with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. She went on to have a successful career as an Electrical Engineer, holding various positions at Martin Marietta Corporation, Stearns Catalytic and Lockheed Martin where she officially retired in 1999. Throughout her career she was active in the Society of Women Engineers, Colorado Engineering Council and Colorado State Science Fair. In 1981 she was elected as the first female President of the Colorado Engineering Council. In her retirement years she volunteered at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science as well as DU Performing Arts Center. Darlyne’s true passion in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who adored her husband, children and grandchildren more than anything and looked for every opportunity to spend time with them. On November 14, 1959, she married George Fuller III. They went on to have two children: George IV and Andrea. She had four grandchildren: George V, Erica, Addison and Tre. Recently she became a Great-Grandmother with the birth of Elouise. Darlyne is preceded in death by her husband, George, who died in 1999. She is survived by her sister, Cynthia Magura-DeBoer, both of her children, all four Grand Children and Great-Grand daughter. Darlyne’s services will be at Fairmont Cemetery on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. There will be a viewing beginning 30 minutes prior to the services which begin at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that a contribution be made in Darlyne’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org. During this most difficult time, we are only able to have a limited number of people at Darlyne's service. Loved ones are invited to live-stream the service at https://vimeo.com/427090832/47976c60fe. To leave a message or a favorite memory to be shared with the family at the service, please view the Hugs from Home link at www.fairmountfuneralhome.com prior to the date of the service.
