Funeral services will be limited to the immediate family.</p> <p>Esther Charlotte Krueger Elting was born on February 6, 1927 to Katherine Vorderstrasse Krueger and Fred Krueger at rural Gilead, Nebraska. She was baptized as an infant at St. Paul&rsquo;s Lutheran Church rural Gilead, Nebraska. Ether attended and graduated 8th grade at District 97. In 1940, she was confirmed at St. Paul&rsquo;s Church. She then attended High School for two years in Gilead. She apprenticed for two years and worked four years following for Dorothy McLaughlin at Dorothy&rsquo;s Beauty Shop in Hebron.</p> <p>On November 14th, 1948 she married Orval Elting at St. Paul&rsquo;s Lutheran Church in Gilead. Esther was proud that she was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Paul&rsquo;s Lutheran Church in rural Gilead. This marriage was blessed with the adoption of two children, in 1961 Kurtis Kay and in 1967 Katie Lyn. They celebrated 48 years of marriage just prior to Orval&rsquo;s death in February 1996.</p> <p>In addition to being a farm wife and mother, Esther operated her own Beauty Salon at home until 1976. In the early 1980&rsquo;s, she began working at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in the dietary department in Deshler, Nebraska until retirement.</p> <p>Esther is preceded in death by her parents, Katherine &amp; Fred; husband Orval; brothers Herman, Paul, Hilmar, and Karl; sister Martha Krueger Schroeder; and grandson Remington Elting.</p> <p>She will be forever remembered by her son Kurtis Elting and wife Susie of Davenport, Nebraska; daughter Katie Krupicka, husband Jeff of Carleton, Nebraska; grandsons, Rueben Elting, Levi Templin, Briar Templin, Nathan Wessels; great grandchildren Rexton, Raylan and Rory Elting, Levi&rsquo;s daughter Laikyn Templin; sister Hilda Vortman, Fairbury, Nebraska; brother and sister-in-law Dwayne and Beverly Elting, Carleton, Nebraska; many other relatives and friends.</p> <p>Viewing for friends without family present will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm Monday at Price Funeral Home, Hebron, Nebraska. Family funeral services will be 10:30am Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church-Friedensau, rural Hebron, Nebraska with The Reverend Jose Flores officiating. She will be laid to rest by her husband Orval in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.</p> <p>Memorials may be made in Esther&rsquo;s honor to Parkview Haven or the Church. Urbauer-Price-Ahrendts Funeral Home, Davenport, Hebron, Deshler, Nebraska is assisting the Elting family with these arrangements.</p> <p>The family requests in lieu of sending flowers, please make a memorial gift to either Parkview Haven, Deshler or to the Church.</p>
