Jerry Lee Britt Sr.

Jerry Lee Britt, Sr., 82, of Rockport, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at his home. Jerry was born in Boonville, Indiana on December 30, 1937 to the late Brian and Pearl (Waters) Britt. Jerry had served in the United States Army and was an active member of Rockport American Legion Post 254. He was a lifelong mechanic and had retired from Green River Electric after 35 years of service. He was also a member of the Daviess County Rescue Squad. Jerry was very active in his children’s sports and had been a member of the South Spencer Booster Club. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Georgianna Lee Britt; and his sister, Mary Jo Wood. He is survived by his children, Jerry Lee Britt, Jr. and his wife, Dana, of Crawfordsville, IN., Terry Britt of Rockport, IN., and Nicole Snyder and her husband, Matt, of Newburgh, IN; his grandchildren, Matthew Snyder, Jerry M. Britt, Meghan Britt, Jessica Snyder, Christopher Snyder, and Terry Britt II; his siblings, Edith Corda, Linda Amrine, Diana Pack, Carol Counceller, Nancy Bradford, and Mike Britt. Services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana with Blake Bunner officiating. Rockport American Legion Post 254 will conduct military honors. Visitation is from 4 PM until 8 PM on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the funeral home.
