Passed peacefully away at Lanes Retirement Home, Carbonear, on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, Mrs. Winnie Whalen of Spaniard's Bay, age 79 years. Predeceased by her husband David, parents, Mary and Richard, daughter Charmaine, son-in-law Stacy, brothers Mark and Victor, sisters Phyllis and Margaret. Leaving to mourn son Rod (Debbie), daughters Cheryl, Leanne (Terry). Her pride and joy, her Grandchildren: Brittany, Samantha, Brandon, Dylan, Josh, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Taylor and Ashton and Great Grandchildren: Madison, Kylah, Noah, Kameron, Jase and Jack. Her sister Daphne (Gordon), brothers Walter (Pat), Lloyd (Stella), Gordon (Sadie), sisters-in-law Lillian Whalen, Lillian Noseworthy, as well as nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a large circle of friends. Special thanks to the staff of Lanes Retirement Home for taking such good care of our mom for the past year. It means so much to us that she was so happy there. Also special thanks to Sandra Murphy for being her caregiver and friend while mom was at home. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
