Joseph A. Romanell, 91, of Belleville died on Thursday, June 4, 2020.
He was born July 28, 1928 in Hazleton, PA, son of the late Joseph and Carmella Mente Romanell.
During the Korean War, Joseph proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked as Mens clothing manager at Bambergers department store in Newark, as well as in the shipping and receiving department of Worthington Pump in Harrison (where he later retired when the company changed to Dresser Ingersoll-Rand). Joseph was a member of the Men of Malvern (PA), the Knights of Columbus and the Nutley Old Guard (NJ).
Joseph was a parishioner of Saint Peters Roman Catholic Church, Belleville. Joseph enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching TV, completing his puzzle books, and playing games on the computer.
He will be lovingly remembered by his two sons, Marc Romanell and Duane Romanell; his daughter-in-law, Christine Romanell; sister, Mildred Domin and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Theresa Romanell (nee Mazza), as well as his brothers and sisters: Carolyn, Carmen, Charles, Christine, Louis, Marie, Maurice, Michael, Rose, Salvadore, Teresa.
Private graveside services will be conducted 11:30 am Monday, June 8, 2020 in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, NJ.
