<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;">It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Irma A. Andrus announces her passing on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in the comfort of her home with loving family by her side. She was 83. &nbsp;A&nbsp; Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 14, 2020&nbsp; at First Baptist Church in Eunice with a private inurnment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Brent Shoalmire and Pastor Mike Fontenot officiating.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Irma, a graduate of Fenton High School, a graduate from Northwestern University in Natchitoches with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, honors magna cum laude as well as a graduate from the University of Alabama with a Master of Science in Nursing, honors magna cum laude. In her fifty-five years of nursing, she was a Director of Nursing at Our Lady of Lourdes, taught nursing at USL, founded the nursing program at LSUE and a Director of Nursing at Moosa Memorial Hospital in Eunice. She did consulting with Lafayette General Hospital and Lake Charles Memorial. &nbsp;&nbsp;She was a member of First Baptist Church of Eunice. Above all this, Irma enjoyed life and her happiest times were spent creating memories with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and will be loved and remembered in our hearts forever. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty one years, Charles Andrus of Basile; her two loving sons, Charles K. Andrus and wife, Suzanne of Basile and Michael Andrus and wife, Michelle of Eunice; her brother, M.H. Anderson Jr. and wife, Ruth of Natchitoches; sister, Billie Anderson Brown and husband, Harvey of Baytown, TX; six grandchildren, Alison A. Trammell, Abel Andrus, Lindsay A. Cleland, Alyssa A. Futrell, Adrienne Andrus and Madelyn Andrus; six great grandchildren, Nora Kate Cleland, Mia Kate Futrell, Rose Mary Cleland, Jillian Alexandra Trammell, Jeffery Michael Cleland and Dani Catherine Andrus.
