Perry Michael Main

Perry Michael Main, 63, passed away April 8, 2020 at Peace Hospice Center in Great Falls, MT. He was born in Havre, MT on February 21, 1957 to Elmer and Elizabeth Main. Perry was enlisted in the Navy from 1976-1981, he was stationed in Alaska, Arizona, and Nevada. After, he was discharged from the Navy in 1981 he moved to Havre and attended NMC taking up Auto Body Mechanics. Perry moved to Hays, in June of 1985. He met the love of his life Christabelle in January, 1986. While living in Hays, Perry worked for Rugsdale Construction where he worked with his brother Bill on what is now JCC, it was at this time the Jr. High School. He worked as a seasonal Fire Fighter mostly throughout the 80's and 90's and fought many fires in the mountains. Perry was a bus driver at the Hays Head Start and later became a Teacher. He loved his job of teaching and loved working with children. Perry also taught Gros Ventre language classes (like his Dad). He started going to the Catholic Church, Sunday Mass with his brother Bill the last couple of years. He made his confirmation in April of 2014; he was so proud this day. His mother and father would have been so proud of him on this day. Perry loved going to Mass and he was very glad to have been able to go and Father Jose was his friend. Perry loved playing guitar, fishing, spending time with family, picnics at the canyon. He was always joking around with a smile. Perry was so proud of his boys. He was very good at Jeopardy and was a musician like his brother. He loved music and listening to The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Perry played the trumpet in the school band and he used to play TAPS at Funerals. He loved playing guitar with his brothers Leon, Kenny, and Bill. He and Bill were very close, always together. He is proceeded in death by his parents Elmer and Elizabeth Main. His grandparents, aunts, uncles, and sister Kathleen. Perry is survived by the love of his life Christabelle. His siblins Leon, Kenny (Deanna), Bill (Anna), and sister Judy. His children Gregory (Jolene), Dawn Marie, Shawn (Serena, Jesse (Tashina), Tommy (Carlyn), and Clara. His grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous friends and family.
