Mass of Christian Burial for Cruz R. Reyes, 74, a long time Hereford resident will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2020 at La Iglesia de San Jose with the Reverend Jose Ramon Molina, pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow at West Park Cemetery, under the supervision of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Reyes passed away Tuesday May 2, 2020. A Prayer vigil will be held at Parkside Chapel Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Thursday. Cruz R. Reyes was born May 3, 1946 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Rosendo and Buenauientura (Varela) Reyes. He moved to the Hereford area in 1980 from Chihuahua, Mexico, Cruz was a member of Iglesia de San Jose for several years. The legacy he leaves are three sons, Valentin Reyes and wife Ana of Hereford, Francisco Reyes and wife Norma, and Cruz Reyes and wife Araceli both of Albuquerque, N. M., one brother Jesus Reyes and one sister Maria Dolores Reyes of Chihuahua, six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
