Phillip Kirk Townsend, son of Frank Hawley and Daisy Lillian Townsend, was born, April 30, 1947 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California. He departed this life, May 31, 2020, at Lake Regional Hospital, in Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-three years, one month, and one day. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Peter Townsend, and a son-in-law Alfredo Ballesteros. He is survived by one son, Jeremy Townsend and wife Carlene of Climax Springs, Missouri, a daughter Jessica Townsend-Ballesteros of Wildomar, California and three grandchildren; Presley Townsend, Zachary Ballesteros, and Parker Townsend as well a host of other relatives and many friends. Phil was raised in Alhambra, California and was a graduate of Alhambra High School. On September 6, 1969, Phil wed Victoria Shaha and to this union both of Phil’s children were born. He spent over thirty years in the communication industry with Pacific Bell, AT&T, and finishing his career with retirement from Lucent Technologies. In April of 2008 Phil relocated to Climax Springs, Missouri where he resided until his passing. In his life, Phil or aka “The Falcon” enjoyed surfing, playing guitar, and had a strong love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Phil loved life, and lived it by his terms and his terms alone. He was a loving and a caring father, grandfather and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the many memories he created for all those lucky enough to have known him.
