Mary Ann Jones O'Dell, 79, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Sunday, May 31, 2020, at home. Mary was born Friday, May 9, 1941, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Tubie Phillips and Beatrice Anita Jones Moore. Left to cherish Mary’s memory are three children, Tina Garrettson, Sherry Lee Rowback Jackson and husband Dale, and Kenneth James Rowback Jr., all of Elkins, seven grandchildren, Heather Garrettson, Debbie McDonald Rowback, Jessica Taylor Rowback, Edward Strawder Jr., Joseph Strawder, Shane Rowback, and Dale Jackson, Jr., nine great grandchildren, Lashawnda, Yolawnda, Jayda, Emma, Bentley, Eli, Jayden, Gage, and Leelynn. Mary was preceded in death by one daughter, Constance Sutherland. Mary attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and singing, watching movies, swimming, playing Bingo, and watching dirt track racing. Her family was her world and she loved spending time with them. She was Baptist by faith. Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Friday, June 5, 2020, from 11 am until 1 pm, the funeral hour. Pastor Terry Canon and Rev. Robert Burton will officiate, and interment will follow in the Mouse Cemetery in Cravensdale. Due to COVID-19, we are continuing to follow social distancing and CDC guidelines.
