Gloria Delores Jones, 71, of Portsmouth, Virginia passed away on May 29, 2020 in Annandale, Virginia. A COVID-19 survivor, Gloria was also a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was born October 27, 1948, in Portsmouth, Virginia, the daughter of the late Nathan and Lena Hunter. She was the youngest of six children. She attended I.C. Norcom High School. On July 24, 1971, she married James Jones. She was a homemaker and a career military wife. She graduated from Mesa College with an associate degree in Medical Transcription and from Norfolk State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Denise Jones (d.2004). She is survived by: her loving husband James, two sons Nate and Michael Jones, daughter Angela Wilder (Baasil), grandchildren Gabriella Jones, Gavyn Jones, and Lisa Wilder.
