Marcia Hoft Matzek, 60, of Colby, Kansas died Friday, May 29, 2020, at Logan County Hospital, in Oakley surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 1, 1959, in Phillipsburg, KS, to Harold and Mary (Bell) Hoft. Marcia enjoyed yard sales, crafting, collecting gemstones and reading. One of her greatest loves was chasing her grandkids and watching their sports events. Marcia was a proud Navy mom of a son assigned to submarines. She loved the outdoors and listening to music. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Hoft and her grandparents, Ben and Martha Hoft. She is survived by her children, Rachel Matzek, Tanner Matzek, Sam (Heather) Matzek and Jay Matzek; her brothers, Mike (Noreen) Hoft, Terry Hoft and Jay (Deb) Hoft; grandchildren, Hayden Bahe, Tucker Matzek, Alex Matzek and Isaac Matzek; father of her children, Steve Matzek and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
