Elaine Jachwak Weidenheimer

Born: Jan 24, 1928 in Jackson, MI Passed: May 28, 2020 in West Jordan, UT Elaine passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was preceeded in death by her husband Lew in 2013. She was the daughter of John and Margaret (Stevens) Jachwak. She was the second of six siblings. Brothers Bob, Larry, and Leonard; and Sisters Jan and Juanita preceded her in death. Growing up during the great depression she experienced many challenges. Elaine and Lew married in 1946, living in Inglewood, CA; Sandy, UT; Bothell, WA; Surrey, British Columbia Canada; and West Jordan, UT through the years. She enjoyed being with family, road trips in her motorhomes to Disneyland, Branson, Yellowstone and other scenic sites, and salmon fishing. In her later years she survived numerous health challenges including heart valve replacement and cancer. Surviving family includes her daughter Delores and son Allan, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one great great grandchild. Viewing for family and friends at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home in South Jordan on June 2, 2020 from 10:00-11:00. A brief graveside service at Utah Veteran's Memorial Park will be on June 2, 2020 and 11:30.
