Dorothy Boss, known as Dot, age 84, passed on to her Heavenly reward, on Thursday, May 21, 2020 where she resided, in Riverside, California. Dorothy was the eldest child of eight who grew up on a farm in Council Hill, Oklahoma. Born to Harley Ezell and Naomi Hornsby-Ezell on March 22, 1936. In 1955 she moved to California where she married Haskell A. Boss, Jr. with whom she had four children, Sherrie Renee Belken, Clifford Haskell Boss, Annette Michelle Austin and Gina Naomi Bowen. Dorothy has six grandchildren: Jason Belken, Anthony Boss, Tawni Stokes, Kristina Cranston, Candice Anderson and Brandon Bowen. She has nine greatgrandchildren: Breanna, Mikayla, Eric, Ava, Starlynn, Zion, Natalie, Zane and Wolfgang. Her siblings include: Betty Claytor, Brodie Ezell, Shirley Reed, Wesley Ezell, Thomas Ezell, Joan Bills and Norma Wells. From the time Dorothy was born she was a hard worker, not only on the farm but in her career at Southern Hills Retirement Community in Tulsa. Dorothy cherished her family in Oklahoma and California. She was a passionate reader of the Bible. She loved writing scriptures and letters to friends and loved ones. Throughout her entire life, her purpose on earth was to spread the love of Jesus. Family and friends are invited to the graveside service followed by a celebration of life at the Council Hill Community Center for visiting and reminiscing.
