<p>Joseph (Joey) Wayne Smart, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on May 21st, 2020 in Irving, Texas.</p> <p>Joey was born on July 8th 1970 in Lancaster, Ohio to Marvin and Sally Smart. He lived in Logan, Ohio until the age of 9, when the family relocated to Plano, Texas. He graduated from Plano East Sr. High School in 1988. After graduation, he attended Texas A&M University, Collin County Community College and the University of Colorado. He worked in sales and marketing for most of his adult life.</p> <p> </p> <p>Joey is survived by his mother, Sally Smart-Henneberger and Step father, Kenneth Henneberger of Dallas, Texas; his son, Joseph Michael Dedmon and wife, Laura; daughter, Meaghan Elizabeth Dedmon- Mangum and husband, Brock; sister, Christina Smart-Tull of Indiana; step brother Michael Henneberger and wife Fanchon; step sister, Linda Henneberger-Larson and husband Roger; step sister, Sheri Henneberger-Johnson and husband Jim. Granddaughter, Sophie Mangum; nephews, Kenneth William L. Tull wife, Jenny and Robert Larson; Nieces, Brianna Tull Zins, Kalli Tull, Kim Larson; great niece, Kendalynn Tull; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.</p> <p> </p> <p>Joey was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Smart; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Betty Smart; maternal grandparents, Betty and Joseph Gang; brother-in-law, Kenneth Tull; numerous aunts and uncles.</p> <p> </p> <p>Arrangements are pending due to Covid-19.
