BAYOU CHICOT-Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Saturday, May 30, 2020, for Mary Christine Kordish, 94, who passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020. Burial will take place in Ferguson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot, LA.

Mary Christine Kordish was born on April 9, 1926 to Leon Rollins and Anita Young Rollins. She was a lifetime resident on Bayou Chicot, Louisiana. She married Anthony Joseph Kordish. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked for many years for Stanley Products as a salesperson. She later went on to work for the Bayou Chicot Headstart Program, as well as their community library. She spent her life serving her family, others, and also her Lord through missionary work.

She is survived by her four daughters, Margie Ann Guillory and husband Rodney of Bridge City, Texas, Joycie Lee Kordish of Ventress, Janice Marie Jones and husband Walter of Saint Landry, and Juanita Mae Kordish of Bayou Chicot; two sons, Joseph Wayne Kordish and wife Pauline of Buna, Texas, and Daniel Glynn Kordish of Bayou Chicot; grandchildren Tony Guillory, Connie DeRouen, Sabrina Guillory, Tara Briley, Deborah Didier, William Patterson, Patrick "Trace" Patterson, Stephanie Tinker, John Jones, Paul Vidrine, Chrissey Guillory, Rebecca “Becky” Vidrine, Jeremy Vidrine, Jonathan Vidrine, Murry Vidrine, Felecia Welch, Joseph Kordish, Jr., Lecia Kordish, Stephen Kordish, Robin Lynette Kordish and Kyle (Peanut) West, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Zagar and Ruth Fontenot; and three brothers, Leroy Rollins, A.D. Rollins, and George Rollins all of Bayou Chicot.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Juanita Young Rollins, husband, Anthony Joseph Kordish; and sisters, Helen Wynn, Elaine Vidrine, and Lillian Kordish; and brothers, Malcolm Rollins and Dudley Rollins.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
