On Thursday May 28, 2020 at 7:35 pm Paul McKee passed away at the age of 96 leaving behind his eight plus children, Gail Riemenschneider, Paulette Fuqua USAF RET, Randolph McKee, Debora McKee, Mechelle McKee, Todd McKee, Michael McKee, Tanya McKee and his 23 grand kids and his 39 great grand kids.
Paul McKee was a hero to many, serving in the Airforce as a Staff Sergeant, he earned one Air Medal, four OLC's and two Battle Star's. He was Honorably Discharge in September 11, 1945, but then went on to reenlist in the Army and served two more tours. After serving Paul set out to become some what of a jack of all trades learning any and everything he could but enjoyed his truck driving days the most. In his free time if you didn't know where he was and couldn't find him he was most likely on the river fishing, or up in the mountains hunting. Paul was loved by many for his funny, spunky personality that no one could seem to resist and though he is gone he will be missed and always remembered.
Late is the hour as darkness moves in
Suddenly the sounds of life are quieted and
take your last breath.
Though surrounded by sadness the weight on
our hearts is lifted
No longer are you suffering but flying on
eagles wings soaring high and free joining
your fellow wingmen surrounded by white
clouds in a new morning air
Bright rises the sun with the promise of life
and hope that our memories of you live on
forever.
As a soldier you were brave and strong but as
a father you will always be our hero.....
