<p>Wanda Delores (Clayton) Smith was born September 14, 1961 to Lorene Clayton and the late,&nbsp;Willie James Clayton,&nbsp;Sr.&nbsp;of Joliet, Illinois. She passed in peace at the age of 58 on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.&nbsp;</p> <p>Wanda attended Washington Junior High School and later attended Joliet West High School where she thrived in orchestra.&nbsp;</p> <p>Wanda was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Joliet, Illinois where she worked as a finance clerk. She worked at nursing homes and Cornerstone Services throughout the Joliet, Lemont and Mokena areas for over 20 yrs. Wanda also worked at Help At Home where she became a Homecare Aide/Companion to seniors who needed one on one assistance.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by one daughter,&nbsp;Kaiisha Denise, brother, Willie Jr. and father,&nbsp;Willie James Clayton,&nbsp;SrWanda leaves in the hands of the Lord;&nbsp;her dear husband,&nbsp;Demetrius Smith; mother, Lorene Clayton and sister, Aisha Bailey; sons,&nbsp;Eric (Jennifer) Clayton, Keon (Ashley) Clayton and honorary son, Brandon Hines; her&nbsp;stepdaughter, Candace Rendon and stepson, Cangney Bettencourt; grandchildren,&nbsp;Eric Jr.,&nbsp;Cydnie, Aaryn, Kristian, Harper, Kelis, Devin, Alfonzo, Amarie, Janiel, Ryker and Kyree. A host of aunts, cousins, friends and church family and special friend Mary Smith. Also her unforgettable lifelong best friends Gail Walker, Tamy Carson, Gloria Jones and Valencia Johnson.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Wanda Delores (Clayton) Smith was born September 14, 1961 to Lorene Clayton and the late, Willie James Clayton, Sr. of Joliet, Illinois. She passed in peace at the age of 58 on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
