Jess Michael Monroe Billings, Montana Obituary

Jess Michael Monroe

Jess Michael Monroe was born September 26, 1983 to Gerald Monroe and Roberta Kruse in Great Bend, Kansas. He lived in Dodge city Kansas until sixth grade when he moved to Billings, Montana. He graduated from Billings West High in 2002. He then went on to marry his high school sweetheart Kristelle in 2008. He had two son’s Jess and Kayne Monroe. Jess worked various jobs from coal miner, heavy equipment operator, to a short stent on the oil rigs until he found his true calling as a Solider in the Montana Army National guard. He completed one tour in Afghanistan and upon return became a recruiter. Jess loved the Army; he was proud to wear the uniform and formed great bonds with several of his battle buddies. He welcomed a daughter in 2016, Khloe and that completed his heart. If he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his children, out fishing or cruising around listening to his music. All that knew him knows how much he loved his hard-core gangster rap. He was the true meaning of “Vanilla Ice” for those that knew him. He is survived by his father Gerald (Sharon) Monroe, mother Roberta Kruse, brother Brian (Kim) Hudson, sister Kristina Hudson, 3 step sisters, son Jess Monroe, son Kayne Monroe, daughter Khloe Monroe, many nieces, nephews, extended family, along with his brothers in arms. He is proceeded in death by Bruce and Rosemary Monroe, Joyce and Carl Westvang and Marty Kruse. Services will be held Friday, May 29th with a reception to follow at the Heights VWF. Dahl Funeral Chapel will be streaming the services at https://www.facebook.com/dahlfuneralchapel/live
