Bettye Jo Jones, 81 years, of Tool, passed away on Wednesday May 27, 2020 with her close friends by her side. She was born on Tuesday December 13, 1938 in Gribble Springs to Jake and Lorene Blackburn Jones. Bettye had a special gift for gardening and landscaping. She loved to cook. She spent many years cooking on Wednesday nights at First Baptist Church Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX. She enjoyed being an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, Trinidad, TX until she was not able to attend. She retired as an accounts payable manager for Foley's. She owned the Great Get Away Tours Company. She used her love for travel to help others plan a great vacation tour. She has planned and toured Europe, Hawaii and the Holy Land. She fought a long illness with Diabetes. Bettye is preceded in death by her father Jake Jones, mother Lorene Blackburn Jones, brother JD Jones, and niece Jennifer Jones. She is survived by her long time friend Kathryn Pinnell and a Host of Close Friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home - Seven Points 100 Tomlinson Ln, Seven Points, TX. Graveside Service will be held on Monday, Jun 1 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Bolivar Cemetery 6918 FM 455, Sanger, TX with Gary Haley officiating.
