Billie Emerson Adler, 77, of Attica, died Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Billie was born October 13, 1942 in Pontiac, Michigan to Jessie and Velma Louise (Coakley) Adler. Billie went to work for General Motors pretty much right out of school. Through the years he worked several jobs at GM but primarily in sanitation. He retired in 2006 after 42 years of service. Billie was a proud & active member of Local 5960. In his free time he loved decorating (lighting up) his yard. He was generous and helpful to all that knew him. Billie loved cars and car shows. Billie is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his children: Mark (Lisa) Adler of Lapeer, Debbie (Bob) Carpenter of Columbiaville, Dawn Skarakis of Lapeer and Darrell (Megan) Filip of Florida; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; step-son, Chris Swain of Davison; siblings: Jimmy (Cheryl) Adler, Velma (John) McGee and Gary (Sue) Adler. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews and extended family members. Billie was preceded in death by two brothers: Jessie and Delbert Adler and his aforementioned parents. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Monday, June 1, 2020 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. A private funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020, Pastor Gerald Wexelberg officiating. Burial will take place in Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the My Life Launch Church, 1284 Turrill Road, Lapeer, Michigan 48446.
