Roger A. Holm, age 95, passed away Sunday morning, March 29, at the Lakeside Health Care Center in Dassel.

 

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Atwater Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com 

 

Roger A. Holm was born in Atwater, Minnesota on October 7, 1924.  Roger spent his life in Atwater, where he operated the Holm Brothers hardware business.  He devoted his life to being a good citizen and helping make Atwater a better place to live.  He was active in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion, Lions and served on many volunteer committees over the years.  Roger was a proud World War II veteran, serving in the South Pacific from 1943 – 1946.

 

He is survived by his wife Joan; brother, Calvin (Gayle); sons, Thomas (Kate), Mick (Jeamie) and Jack (Cheryl); grandchildren, Erik, Kristofer and Maggie; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Jacob and Ella; in addition to many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his wives, Sally and Judy; sister, Marjorie; and son, Steven.
