Carl B. Hoppe Marinette, Wisconsin Obituary

Carl B. Hoppe

Carl Bernard Hoppe, 68, of Marinette WI, went to be with the Lord on May 26th from his home in Marinette WI, after a challenging battle with cancer. Born September 14, 1951 in Marinette to the late Ben and Marie (Beyer) Hoppe, he attended Marinette Schools and married Diana P. Schultz on May 10, 1975. They enjoyed 45 Years together in marriage. They were married at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Marinette with a reception at the Blue Ribbon Casino. The couple enjoyed many of the local restaurants and recreation places of the time. Carl worked at George Menors Service Station and SafeGuard for short periods of time before following his fathers career path, working for Erickson Plastering. Carl was a true family man. He enjoyed visiting with family often. He and Diana would use time to go see what was going on at "the kids" house or at one of his sisters. Carl would say, "I plaster in houses all day, lets go for a ride." Using time to visit with family was something Carl has always valued. Carl grew up visiting extended family and spent a lot of time hunting, fishing, or working on projects together. Carl and Diana would often show up for many visits out of the blue because they never really had a daily agenda. They would find themselves in an experience at the most opportune moment. Carl went to every grandchilds events in and out of school. He loved watching the grand kids succeed at everything they were involved in and sat many hours on the sidelines cheering for them. Grandpa played with them, taught them things, and teased them often causing lots of laughter. Carl has stated that being with the grandchildren will be what he misses the most. Carl is survived by his wife Diana (Schultz) Hoppe of Marinette, two daughters Karrie (Ryan) Sadowski of Marinette, and Korrine (Steve) Floriano of Marinette, Five grandchildren Keylee, Mason, Lauren, Jacob, and Adam. Four sisters Carol (John) McClellend of Menominee, Joyce (Dan) Haile of Peshtigo, Joan (Gene) Delfosse of Menominee, and Kathy (Rick) Peterson of Marinette, along with many other family members, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Marie (Beyer) Hoppe along with other aunts and uncles. The family would like to thank extended family members, friends, neighbors, and Heartland Hospice Care for everything. In the interest of safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, a private burial was observed at Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
