Kathy Whitear died on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at her home in Granite Falls, MN at the age of 57.

Private services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are with Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home of Granite Falls.

Kathy Sue Whitear was born on November 6, 1962 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Robert and Jeanette (Yunker) Roe.  She grew up in Coralville, IA and later moved to the Granite Falls area.  Kathy worked in Human Resources and as an office clerk for Norcraft for over 20 years and then the Grain Elevator in Cottonwood.  She was married to Mark Whitear.

Kathy enjoyed skiing, fly fishing, canoeing, shooting, camping, gardening, traveling and antiques.  She also loved to refurbish homes and putting her own touch on them.

She is survived by her husband, Mark; her children: Sheena (Roe) Freeman, Hampton, VA, Christopher Gasca, Worthington, MN, Amanda Gasca, Clarkfield, MN, Corbin Roe, Granite Falls, MN; grandchildren: Josephine, Johan; her mother, Jeanette Roe, Clemens, IA; siblings: Nancy Rons, Cold Spring, MN, Alan Roe, Iowa City, IA, Melody Salimi, Marietta GA, Janet Klein, Clemons, IA; as well as extended family and friends; and her dog, Bentley.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Robert Roe; and many other loved ones.
