Mr. Curtis Michael “Mike” Bush, age 62, of Big Lost Creek, was called home on May 26, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 8, 1957, in Boyd County, Kentucky, to Anna Laura Bush and the late Jack Wilburn Bush.
Mike was a supervisor for Diversified Crop Ins. Services and he loved his job and the adjusters he worked with. He was a farmer at heart and loved the land, his cattle and especially his horses.
Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Doretha Horsley Bush; one daughter, Myka and her husband, Matthew Grayson; one brother, Cavel Bush and his wife, Elaine; two sisters, Jackie Campbell had her husband, Kevin, and Joretta Green; and one father-in-law, Monroe Horsley.
Mike was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Johnny Greene; a mother-in-law, Marjorie Horsley; a sister-in-law, Peggy Baldridge; and a special aunt, Garnet Howard.
Mike held membership at the Trimble Lodge 145 F&AM. He was a 32 degree mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the El Hasa Shriners in Ashland. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church where he served as a Deacon.
At the request of the family a private service will be held with Brother Roy Brown and Brother Kail Ruffner officiating. Burial will follow in the Kiser McGinnis Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
