A Family Graveside service for Myron M. “Bosie” Bolen, 91, of Williston, SC will be held at eleven a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the Williston Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Williston Cemetery, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853. Myron passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020.

Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend.

Born in Williston, SC, he was a son of the late Denzel L. and Norma Porter Bolen and was married to his loving wife for 64 years, the late Kathryn L. “Katie” Dort Bolen. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He co-owned Bolen Brother’s Red & White Grocery Store with his brothers Eugene and Kenneth Bolen.  He was the meat department manager and worked as a butcher. In 1983, he retired and enjoyed spending time with his family. Myron loved the Atlanta Braves and Carolina Gamecocks baseball. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose grandchildren affectionately called him Gramps.

Survivors include his daughters Denise (Jimmy) Elkins of Williston and Dana Byrd; grandchildren Dane Byrd all of Williston and Kathryn (Alex) Paavel of Papillion, NE; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his wife, Katie, he was preceded in death by his brothers Eugene (Frances) Bolen, Kenneth (Betty) Bolen, and a son-in-law Dirk Byrd.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers who have given so much of themselves. They have given their time, their love and compassion shown to Mr. Myron. They have loved and cared for him with the utmost respect and dignity. Thank you to Connie Maximiek, Linda Ray, Amber Brown, Helen Creech, Denise Bing, Teresa Esparza, Diane Childs, Betty Dicks, Renee Creech, Dane Byrd and Freddie Dicks. Also, the family would like to thank Kindred at Home for all of the care and kindness they have shown to the Bolen’s during these last few years.
