Thomas McGinley

MADISON-Tom McGinley, age 56, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on Feb. 15, 1964, in Madison, WI, the son of Richard and Donna (Hult) McGinley. Tom graduated from Madison LaFollette High School. He was a "Jack of All Trades" working many different jobs during his career. Tom completed Hope Haven and Tellurian and was proud to say he was clean these past few years. He enjoyed classic rock, old cars, and taking photos. Most important to Tom was his family and being able to spend time with them. Tom is survived by his mother, Donna; two sisters, Kathy (Marty) Ottem and Laurie (Jim Mitchell) Kaioula; his son, Patrick (Chelsey) McGinley; two daughters, Jessica (Nick) Kortsch and Susan Schultz; step-daughter, Teresa Ulrich; two grandsons, Kole Severson and Carter Schultz; granddaughter, Finley Grenier; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard "Dick" McGinley; two brothers, Robert McGinley and Gary McGinley; his maternal grandmother, Esther Whitt; and his aunt, Clare Gorman. Private burial services are to be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hope Haven or Tellurian.
