Pernau – Martha A., 86, of Richland Twp. Went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2020, at Arbutus Manor. Born January 19, 1934, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late John R. and Sarah A. (Hugill) Haywood. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, John W. “Bill” Pernau Jr.; brother, John R. Haywood Jr. Survived by loving children, Lee Ann, wife of James J. Langham, Fredericksburg, VA and John A., married to the former Gay (Pilon), Keyser, WV.; grandchildren, Benjamin Langham, Anthony and Dylan Pernau; great-granddaughters, Braelynn Langham and Isabella Pernau; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Martha was a graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a member of Faith Chapel and its choir. Martha was also an area soloist for many churches, nursing homes, and special events. She loved spending time with her entire family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughters. Due to current health conditions, there will be a private family viewing and service at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Andrew Taylor officiating. Private burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. Family suggests contributions be directed to Faith Chapel, 730 Sunberry St, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Martha.
