Gary R. Park Obituary

Gary R. Park, 72, of Ozark, Missouri, formerly of Clinton, Mo., passed away early Tuesday morning, May 26, 2020 at his home. He was born August 24, 1947 in Clinton, Mo., the son of Henry Cooper Park and Evea (Shoemaker) Park. He married Deana Jean Waterworth on October 23, 1970 in Clinton, Mo. She survives of the home. Gary was employed with Williams Rock Company, later becoming Hilty Quarries for 17 ½ years, then went to work for United Parcel Service, where he retired in 2010 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Warrensburg, Mo. He is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, surviving are two sons, Garyn (Amy) Park, Nixa, Mo., and Derik (Kim) Park, Calhoun, Mo.; one daughter, Alissa (Jeremy) Brownfield, Ozark, Mo; seven grandchildren, Tyler Park, Nixa, Mo., Justin Park, Edmond, Oklahoma, Brooklyn Brownfield, Kinsley Brownfield, Rylan Brownfield, all of Ozark, Mo., and Matthew Park and Morgan Park, both of Calhoun, Mo.; two brothers, Henry (Kay Ann) Park, Independence, Mo, and LeRoy (Jane) Park, Lake Winnebago, Mo.; sister, JoAnn Underwood, Blue Springs, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Sue Roberts and Roma Jean Woods. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 at the Englewood Cemetery with social distancing being observed. Military services will be at the grave under the direction of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1894, Clinton. Friends may call from noon to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.
